I’m grateful for the opportunity to have taken a tour of the Fast Pace Urgent Care Clinic in Woodbury, Tennessee last week. Fast Pace currently has over 200 clinics across the state of Tennessee. They are filling the gap for rural areas who lack access to urgent care and other vital medical services.
I had a great time joining local optometrists for a networking event last week. Thank you for the invitation and for the incredible work you do every day to protect the vision and eye health of Tennesseans.
Yesterday, the Solid Waste Task Force held its second meeting to continue working on possible solutions for Tennessee’s solid waste issues. Yesterday, I attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Bedford County Higher Education Center, the new home of Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Shelbyville.
I spoke alongside TCAT-S President Jimmy Wright; Bedford County Mayor Chad Graham; Shelbyville Mayor Randy Carroll; Flora Tydings, Chancellor of Tennessee Board of Regents; and Speaker Pro Tem Pat Marsh.
The facility’s community room will be named in honor of Speaker Pat Marsh, who has served Bedford County since 2009.
Last Friday, I was joined by Michael Skipper and Senator Bill Powers at the Greater Nashville Regional Council Annual Meeting (Middle Tennessee Mayors Caucus) to discuss different issues facing Middle Tennessee.
This past Thursday, I toured the Cemetery School with Vincent Woodrow, Representative Mike Sparks and Secretary of State Tre Hargett. This is an amazing piece of African-American history that is being repurposed in Rutherford County.
I was honored this past week to have the opportunity to speak at Lipscomb University to the College of Business and to some of their leadership team. The focus of the talk was around credibility.
